2026 Rockies Cup – 7v7 Tournament
June 19–21 | Cranbrook, BC
Tournament Overview
The 2026 Rockies Cup features an exciting 7v7 format designed for fast-paced, competitive play in a fun and engaging environment.
Divisions & Categories
Teams will compete in the following categories:
- Men’s
- Women’s
- Coed
- Masters — Men’s 35+
Note: If there are not enough teams registered in the Masters division, those teams will be placed into the Men’s division.
Tournament Setup
- Players on Field: 7 (6 field players + 1 goalkeeper)
- Roster Size: Maximum 12 players per team
- Game Length: Two 20-minute halves (40 minutes total)
- Halftime: 3–5 minutes
- Clock: Running time (stoppages only for serious injuries)
Points System
Teams will earn points during round robin play as follows:
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
Tiebreakers (Round Robin)
In the event of a tie in standings, the following criteria will be used:
- Goal Differential
- Goals Scored
- Head-to-Head Result
- Penalty Shootout
Game Rules
- No offside rule
- Unlimited rolling substitutions (must occur at center and are pending referee approval)
- Kickoffs may be played forward or backward
- Kick-ins replace throw-ins
- All free kicks are indirect (except penalty shots)
Discipline
- Yellow Card:
Player serves a 2-minute penalty and team plays short
- Red Card:
Player is ejected from the match
- Team plays short for 5 minutes
- Player is suspended for the next match
Knockout Stage Rules
- No extra time will be played
- Tied games will be decided by a 3-player penalty shootout

Check Results: Be sure to check results at Moir Field Headquarters after Saturday’s play to see your team’s position for Sunday.
Refunds:
Refunds will be provided minus a $40 admin fee. No refunds after registration closes.
Disclaimer: This tournament is sanctioned by BC Soccer, and it is the responsibility of each team to ensure that all players meet the registration requirements.
- For any unregistered players, a BC Soccer Short-Term Event Player Permit is required. The permit fee is $15.75 per player (including GST) and must be obtained prior to participation.
- Alberta teams may participate with a sanctioned travel permit from Alberta Soccer, which will be accepted in place of individual player permits.
Teams must verify compliance before the tournament to ensure eligibility. Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification.
