Event Type

The Shriners Hospitals for Children are a network of specialized pediatric healthcare facilities dedicated to providing expert medical care to children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate—regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Their mission focuses on improving children’s quality of life through advanced treatment, innovative research, and compassionate care.

At the local level, the Creston Shrine Club plays an important role in supporting this mission. Made up of dedicated volunteers, the club raises funds, spreads awareness, and helps families access Shriners’ services—often assisting with transportation to hospitals and providing guidance throughout their journey.

As part of these efforts, our club will be traveling to participate in a community event, where we will be operating a popcorn stand by donation. This initiative is both a fundraiser and an opportunity to connect with the public, share information about the work of Shriners Hospitals, and highlight how local support directly impacts children and families in need.

All proceeds from the popcorn stand will go toward supporting patient care and related services for patients boath far away and local, helping ensure that children can receive the specialized treatment they need, regardless of financial circumstances.
